Another astonishing development to keep you posted about has just broken through..... 5 days ago. One of my favorite plain zip-up hoodies finally broke. The zipper handle thing shattered for no apparent reason. Sure I can still zip it up. But with great difficulty and inconvenience. It was one of my favorite hoodies to wear. It was a nice plain dark gray. Plain. Just the way I like my clothing. It went great with everything I wore. Black shirt? No problem. Yellow shirt? You bet your ass that gray hoodie complimented it. Formal clothing? Definitely worked. It was an all purpose hoodie that worked for every occasion. Now my ability to wear it has been greatly hindered by shoddy manufacturing. I thought about taking it to a seamstress, but realized that cost would be greater than what I had actually paid for it at Target.
The worst part about this is that Target doesn't make that same hoodie anymore. (I've checked 5 different locations. It's gone.) When I first bought that hoodie, I had a small voice in my head tell me to buy two because it would be really handy. I dismissed this voice of reason and decided to save money instead. Now I'm hurting because of it. I should have bought two. They are just such awesome hoodies. Not only was it plain, but it actually fit me. I have great difficulty finding a hoody that fits my small torso. My second favorite hoody just got promoted to current favorite hoody. It's a nice black hoody. I like it. But I'm not sure if it's number one material.
Now I'm on a quest to find similar hoodies of excellent plain and fitting qualities. This has been an insanely difficult task since the style these days it's not very plain at all. Furthermore, hoodies nowadays are huge and baggy, even for a small. I've gotten desperate enough to try on kids sizes with no success. I'm too big for the kids sizes but too small for even a small man size.
Luckily there is light at the end of the tunnel. I've found a few possible replacements after much searching. So don't worry about me over here.
I think I got this catastrophe under control.
